The Raleigh Tennis Association (RTA) is a non-profit organization designed to promote tennis activities in the Raleigh area.

The RTA organizes USTA League play for juniors, adults and seniors. There is competitive tennis available for all ages and abilities. In addition, we offer information for beginning developmental programs of various kinds to both juniors and adults.

We hope you find our website useful in your quest for information about Raleigh area tennis.  Thank you for your support as we work towards growing the game in our community.  We welcome any feedback or questions you may have.

Coman Tiebreak Procedure (Updated)

The USTA Adult League Committee has voted to implement the Coman Tiebreak Procedure for all USTA Adult NC Tennis Leagues.  Effective immediately, you must now use the Coman Tiebreak for all of your league matches except the Singles League.

Spring Registration is Under Way!

The spring season is quickly approaching!  There are several league and clinic opportunities this season.  The USTA Adult League and the Raleigh Area Tennis League (RATL) are both registering players.  Whether you are beginner or advanced player, you’ll want to take advantage of this great opportunity to play with others at your same level and to make new friends. Clinics and special programs are also available throughout the city.  Don't miss this opportunity!

QuickStart Training

There will be a Teacher In-Service QuickStart Training Workshop on Monday, February 15th at Sanderson High School from 9-12 noon.  This is open to Wake County P.E. teachers that would like to add QuickStart to their curriculum.

Tennis Night in America

Saint Mary's School Offers Summer Tennis Camps

Southern Mixed Doubles Champions Receives 3rd Place Award at National Championship

Congratulations to our Southern 10.0 Mixed Doubles Champions for their 3rd Place finish at the National Championship tournament in Las Vegas, November 20-22!

Raleigh Teams Compete to Win at NC Singles League East Region Invitational

The NC Singles League East Region Invitational was held in Durham on November 21st-22nd.  Seventeen teams from Raleigh participated in the tournament, as well as teams from Durham, Cary, Greensboro, Wilmington, and Downeast.  At the end of play on Sunday, Raleigh had successfully captured the winning title for all divisions but one.

The 2009 NC Tennis Community Development Award recipients have been selected by the Awards Committee. The Community Development Awards Dinner, which recognizes the recipients in front of their nominators and peers, was held during the NC Tennis Association’s 2009 Community Development Workshop.

The captains meeting for the Spring 2010 season of the Raleigh Area Tennis League will be held at Millbrook Tennis Center Tuesday, February 16th at 6:45pm. Packets will be given out and fees and forms are due.
